Whether you've decided to do a resolution or not this year, most people are focused on weight and health at the start of the New Year.
 
You’re not the only one – women looking to lose weight and often feeling overwhelmed by the notion that you need to take on a restrictive diet and a complex exercise plan in order to be successful.
 
It doesn’t have to be that way!
 
There are simple time-saving tops that can help you become a healthier you without sacrificing much of your daily routine.
 
Here are 3 tips from a nutritionist (that would be me lol) to get you started:
 
1. Plan Ahead
  • Take some time at the start of each week to plan out your meals and snacks for the days ahead.
  • Meal planning can help you save time and money, and ensure that you always have the healthy items you need on hand.
  • This can help you avoid the temptation of eating unhealthy food when you don’t have the time to cook something fresh.
 
2. Eat Mindfully
  • Concentrate on each bite of food, rather than eating mindlessly.
  • Eating mindfully will help you enjoy the food you eat and pay attention to how it makes you feel. This allows you to become aware when you’re full and helps break the cycle of overeating.
 
3. Ditch Restrictive Dieting
  • Restrictive diets can be difficult to stick to in the long-term and can leave you feeling deprived.
  • Instead of counting every calorie and restricting your intake, focus on intuitive eating; this is when you trust your own body’s signals when it comes to hunger and fullness.
 
These tips can help you save time and reduce stress when it comes to weight loss.
